Fanuc servo drive repair in India

We repair Fanuc servo amplifiers and drives at component level: power stage, DC link, feedback input, control and I/O faults. Every repaired amplifier is tested with a servo motor under load before dispatch and returned with a printed test report. Send the amplifier label and the alarm number, such as SV0368, to get a quote.

Repair turnaround you can plan around

Send a photo of the nameplate first. We confirm whether the motor is repairable, and the quote, the same working day.

Emergency: same day

For a line-down motor, where the fault and parts allow. WhatsApp us before you send it so the bench is kept free.

Urgent: 3 working days

Repair, encoder alignment and test, counted from the day the motor reaches the bench and the quote is approved.

Standard: 7 working days

Full repair, encoder alignment, run test under load and a printed test report.

  • Free repairability check from a nameplate photo
  • Printed test report with every motor
  • Written warranty, terms stated on every quotation
  • Pickup can be arranged; parts that must be imported are quoted with their own timeline
01Models

Fanuc servo drives and amplifiers we repair

Send the full A06B part number from the label. If your model is not listed, ask us on WhatsApp.

  • alpha i servo amplifiers (SVM single, two and three axis)
  • beta i servo amplifiers (beta iSV and beta iSVM)
  • alpha i power supply modules (PSM) and spindle amplifier modules (SPM)
  • Earlier alpha series servo amplifiers
  • Matching motors: alpha i, beta i and earlier alpha servo motors with their pulsecoders
02Failure modes

Common Fanuc drive faults

A drive alarm tells you where to look, not always what failed. A feedback alarm can be the amplifier, the pulsecoder, the cable or the motor.

  • No power, or a failed power stage
  • DC link, low-voltage and regeneration faults
  • Overcurrent and amplifier alarms
  • Pulsecoder and serial feedback alarms such as SV0368
  • Switch-mode power supply and gate drive failures
  • FSSB link and display faults
03Alarm codes

Fanuc alarm codes and what to check

Alarm text and numbers vary between CNC models. Always confirm in the manual for your control.

SV0368: serial data error

Serial feedback communication. Check the cable and pulsecoder, then the amplifier input.

SV0364 and SV0366: pulsecoder phase

Pulsecoder or cable fault. Test the motor and its pulsecoder.

SV0414: servo alarm

Read the detail bits to find the cause, then check the amplifier and motor.

SV0360: pulsecoder checksum

Pulsecoder data error. A motor with a failed pulsecoder needs inspection.

04Verification

How a repaired Fanuc drive is tested

After component-level repair, the drive is powered up on a test rig, the power stage and feedback circuits are checked, and the drive is run with a servo motor under load. Your drive comes back with its own settings and serial history, and a printed test report.

If the motor is the real cause, the drive repair alone will not hold. When the alarm points to feedback or overcurrent, send the motor too: see Fanuc servo motor repair and Fanuc pulsecoder repair. We are an independent multi-brand repair company, not an OEM service centre.

05Turnaround

Fanuc servo drive repair questions

More on the FAQ page.

Do you repair Fanuc servo drives in India?

Yes. We repair Fanuc servo drives and amplifiers at component level, test them with a servo motor under load and return them with a printed test report. Send the label photo and alarm code on WhatsApp and we confirm repairability before you courier.

Are you an Fanuc service centre?

No. Star Automations is an independent multi-brand repair company, not an OEM service centre. The brand name only describes the equipment we repair.

What does Fanuc alarm SV0368 mean?

It is a serial data error between the pulsecoder and the amplifier. The cause can be the pulsecoder, the cable or the amplifier input. See our SV0368 guide.

Can you repair the motor and the amplifier together?

Yes. When the alarm points to feedback or overcurrent we test the amplifier with the motor, so a motor fault does not bring the alarm back.

What do I send for a quote?

The amplifier label photo with the A06B number, the alarm number, the motor nameplate and what the machine was doing at the time of failure.

Send the drive label and alarm code. We confirm repairability before you courier.
