Manufacturing at Star Automations
Star Automations manufactures control panels, cable harnesses and small brushless motors up to 1 kW, and supplies the railway and medical electronics sectors. Products are built to your drawings and tested before dispatch, by the same team that repairs the drives, PLCs and motors inside them. Manufacturing runs from the Puducherry factory and the Bengaluru facility of about 7,000 sq ft, under an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.

Beyond industrial automation, Star manufactures and supplies into two regulated sectors where documentation and traceability matter as much as the product.
Railways
Manufacturing and supply for the railway sector through our group entity Global Engineering & Electronics Corporation (GEEC), an MSE-registered vendor on IREPS, Indian Railways’ e-procurement system, vendor code 53601. Tender documentation, inspection and despatch records are handled in-house.
Medical electronics
Star manufactures and markets a Made in India Tele ECG system under a technology transfer licence from the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), whose technology transfer programme licenses instrumentation developed in its laboratories to Indian industry.
Industrial and machine building
Panels, harnesses and motors for plants, machine builders and system integrators, including export orders routed through our international entities.

Motor manufacturing, in house
Housings and end shields are machined in house, wound, assembled and tested before despatch. These are parts from current work at our Puducherry factory.

From drawing to despatch
Drawings and BOM
Send the drawing, wire schedule or BOM. We confirm what we can build, what we would change and what we need from you.
Bill of material
Components sourced to the approved makes on your BOM. Where a part is obsolete, we propose an alternative for your approval before we buy.
Build
Assembly and wiring at Puducherry or Bengaluru, to the drawing, with in-process checks recorded.
Test
Continuity, insulation and functional tests before despatch. Test records travel with the product.
Despatch
Packed, documented and despatched. For export orders, documentation is prepared under our IEC and GST LUT.

Built by the team that repairs what is inside
Star has repaired drives, PLCs, HMIs and motors since 2000. That bench knowledge goes into what we build: which components fail, which layouts are hard to service, and what a maintenance team will need on day one.

What does Star Automations manufacture?
Control panels, cable harnesses and small brushless motors up to 1 kW, plus a Made in India Tele ECG system manufactured under a BARC technology transfer licence. Panels and harnesses are built to the customer’s drawings.
Do you manufacture for Indian Railways?
Yes. Railway supply runs through our group entity Global Engineering & Electronics Corporation (GEEC), an MSE-registered vendor on IREPS with vendor code 53601.
What is the BARC technology transfer for Tele ECG?
The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre licenses instrumentation developed in its laboratories to Indian manufacturers. Star Automations holds such a licence for a Tele ECG system, which it manufactures and markets as a Made in India product.
Can you build to our drawings and approved makes?
Yes. Panels and harnesses are built to your drawing, wire schedule and approved component makes. Where a listed part is obsolete, we propose an alternative for your approval before buying.
Do you export?
Yes. Export documentation is prepared under our IEC and GST LUT, and orders can be routed through our entities in the USA and Bahrain.
