Spares health check

Spares health check and obsolescence audit

Find out which spares will actually work before the day you need them. Drives and boards that sit in a store for years can fail on first power-up. We check your stored spares at your plant, reform capacitors on long-stored drives, and give you a written report of what is healthy, what needs repair and what is going obsolete.

01What you get

What the health check gives you

A ready list

Which stored spares are ready to use, and which are not.

Obsolescence risk report

Status of each part number, with last-time-buy advice. For example, the Siemens S7-300 range is now in spare-parts-only status with the manufacturer.

Capacitor reforming

Long-stored drives are reformed on site or at our bench before they go back into service.

02How it works

How the check is done

  1. Share your spares list

Part numbers and storage dates, if you have them.

  2. Visit and check

We inspect the stored units and power up what can be checked safely.

  3. Reform and repair

Capacitor reforming for long-stored drives. Faulty units are quoted for repair.

  4. Written report

Health status, obsolescence risk and last-time-buy advice per part number.

03Note

Independent repair

Star Automations is an independent multi-brand repair company and is not an OEM service centre.
