Star ReValue · Surplus sold on commission

Star ReValue: sell your surplus automation stock on commission

Don't scrap it. ReValue it. Star ReValue is a commission-based surplus programme for Indian plants. Star collects idle servo motors, drives, PLCs and old systems, tests each unit, lists it without naming the plant, and sells it. The plant keeps 50–70% of each sale, paid by bank transfer or as repair credit.

02How it works

From your store to your bank in 7 steps

  1. Send your surplus list: part numbers, quantities and photos.
  2. We reply with a value range and the agreement, showing the share slabs.
  3. We collect the stock, or you send it to Puducherry, Chennai or Bengaluru. It travels on a delivery challan; ownership stays with you.
  4. Within 10 working days you receive the receiving report: part number, serial, condition, test result and price range. Once you approve it, it becomes the master list.
  5. Each unit is listed without your company name: Star's website, part-number pages, IndiaMART and export buyers.
  6. When a unit sells, Star invoices the buyer and carries the warranty and any return.
  7. You raise a GST invoice to Star for your share and are paid within 15 days of the buyer's payment, by bank transfer or as repair credit.

04Why ReValue

Why plants choose ReValue

Tested, not weighed

Each unit is tested on our universal servo motor test equipment and sold with a report, so it sells as a working part.

Receiving report, monthly statement of stock, sales and share, and audit of the stock at any time in working hours.

05What we accept

What goes into ReValue

  • Servo motors, servo drives and encoders
  • VFDs and AC drives
  • PLC CPUs, I/O modules and HMIs
  • CNC boards and drives, industrial PCBs, power supplies
  • Complete old control systems removed after an upgrade or PLC migration

Faulty units? Send them to Star ReLife: we repair them at our cost and share the sale price.

06Repair-and-hold

Spares you still need: repair-and-hold

Idle spares you still need are tested, repaired if faulty, and kept ready for your plant at our site, so a line stoppage does not wait for a repair. Held units ship back to you on request. This sits in the same agreement as ReValue.

07Surplus audit

Free surplus audit for larger stores

We visit, list the idle stock with your stores team, test what can be tested on site, and show a value range for each line. You decide what goes to ReValue, ReLife, repair-and-hold or scrap.

08FAQ

ReValue questions

What is Star ReValue?

Star ReValue is a commission-based programme for selling surplus automation stock in India. You send idle servo motors, drives, PLCs, HMIs or old systems to Star. We test each unit, list it without your company name, and sell it. You keep 50–70% of every sale, and there is no upfront cost.

How much of the sale price do I get?

You get 50% on sales up to ₹50,000, 60% from ₹50,001 to ₹5,00,000, and 70% above ₹5,00,000, worked out per sale invoice, not per item. If you take your share as Star repair or Servo Swap credit, you get 5 points more. Your monthly statement shows every sale and share.

Is ReValue better than selling to a scrap dealer?

Usually yes, for working or repairable units. A scrap dealer pays by weight or for the lot. ReValue sells each unit as a tested working part with a report, which buyers pay more for. Units that are truly scrap are better sold as scrap, and we tell you which those are.

What happens if my stock does not sell?

Six months after listing, you choose: lower the price, take the units back, or accept an outright offer from Star. Until a unit is sold it stays yours, and you can recall any item at any time before it is sold.

Will buyers know the stock came from our plant?

No. ReValue runs blind. Buyers see Star Automations as the seller, never your company name. If you ask, we remove asset tags and labels that identify your plant before listing. Your name appears only in our records and your statements.

What do you accept?

Servo motors and drives, encoders, VFDs, PLC CPUs and I/O, HMIs, CNC boards and drives, industrial PCBs, power supplies, and complete old control systems taken out after an upgrade. Working units go into ReValue; faulty units go into Star ReLife, where we repair them at our cost.

Who pays for testing and listing?

Star pays for testing, photos, listing and marketing, and there are no storage fees while your stock is with us. For larger lots we arrange pickup; smaller lots can be sent to our nearest site at Puducherry, Chennai or Bengaluru. For larger lots, insurance cover for the period your stock is with us can be arranged.

How is it handled for GST?

Stock moves to Star on a delivery challan, so no sale takes place until a buyer pays. At each sale you raise a GST invoice to Star for your share, and Star invoices the buyer. We send the monthly figures so your accounts team only checks them and raises the invoice.

How do I start?

Send your surplus list with part numbers, quantities and photos through the form or WhatsApp. We reply with a value range and the agreement. For larger stores, ask for a free surplus audit: we visit, list the idle stock with you, and show what it could be worth.
