Siemens servo motor repair
Star Automations repairs Siemens servo motors, including 1FK7, 1FT7, 1FT6 and 1PH spindle motor families. The motor is inspected, the failed parts are repaired or replaced, the encoder is aligned where needed, and the motor is proved on our servo motor test system with a no-load run and a full-load test before it leaves our Chennai bench. We are not a Siemens dealer or service partner; the brand name describes the motor we repair.

Encoder communication alarms on motors with DRIVE-CLiQ or older sin/cos and resolver feedback.
Bearing failure
Noise and heat on spindle and axis motors after long running hours.
Insulation breakdown
Ground-fault and overcurrent trips from moisture or contamination in the winding.
Brake wear
Holding brakes that no longer hold the rated torque.
02Test bench
What the test bench checks
Siemens motors are tested on our servo motor test system without a SINAMICS or SIMODRIVE drive, so the motor is checked on its own before it returns.
- Insulation resistance and hi-pot
- Winding resistance and balance
- Encoder or resolver feedback and commutation offset
- Brake release and holding, where fitted
- No-load run, then full-load run; speed and current against the nameplate
- Vibration and noise at rated speed
03Repair or replace
Repair or replace
Repair suits 1FK7, 1FT6 and 1FT7 motors where the fault is in the encoder, bearings, brake or insulation and the frame is sound.
Replacement suits motors with mechanical damage or a winding that cannot be saved. For older 1FT6 and SIMODRIVE systems, repair can keep a machine running while a migration is planned.

How to send the motor
You can send a servo motor from anywhere in India. Talk to us before you courier, so the unit is expected and logged on arrival.
Send the nameplate
WhatsApp a clear photo of the nameplate, the alarm code and what the machine was doing when it failed.
We confirm repairability
We tell you whether we can test and repair that model before anything is shipped.
Courier or pickup
Courier the motor to our Chennai bench, or ask us to arrange pickup where needed.
Inspection and quote
The motor is opened, inspected and photographed. You get the findings and a quote before work starts.
Repair, test, dispatch
Repaired, run-tested and load-tested, then dispatched with a printed test report.

Do you repair 1FT6 motors that are no longer made?
Yes, where the frame is sound. Older motors are a common reason plants choose repair over replacement.
