Star Automations is hiring a plc, hmi and industrial automation engineer in Bengaluru. Test, repair and support PLCs and HMIs, and help customers back up, restore and retrofit automation systems. Test, repair and support PLCs and HMIs, and help customers back up, restore and retrofit automation systems.
- Test and diagnose PLC modules and HMI panels
- Back up and restore programs and configurations for customers
- Support retrofit of obsolete PLC and HMI systems
- Help customers on call and on site with automation problems
What we look for
- Must have: PLC and HMI experience on at least two common makes (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Delta, Omron)
- Must have: Understanding of industrial networks and I/O
- Must have: Methodical fault finding
- Must have: Clear documentation
- Good to have: Drives and servo commissioning
- Good to have: Programming and migration experience
- Good to have: Site commissioning experience

Who you will support
Factory maintenance and automation teams that run older PLC and HMI systems. Star Automations repairs and supplies servo drives, servo motors, encoders, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, solar inverters and industrial electronics, and builds cable harnesses and electronics sub-assemblies.
Where you will work in Bengaluru
Our Bengaluru facility is at 40, Sparkling Nest Rd, Lakshmi Sagar Layout, Brigade Metropolis, Garudachar Palya, Mahadevapura, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560048. Working hours are Monday to Saturday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm IST; evening, part-time and job-based work is discussed per role.
