Understand a customer's failure and match it to repair, exchange, spares or a retrofit, then prepare the proposal.
- Take customer nameplates, alarms and fault history and decide the best route
- Prepare technical quotations and replacement or retrofit proposals
- Work with the repair bench on feasibility before a quote goes out
- Be the technical voice on calls with maintenance and purchase teams
What we look for
- Must have: Electrical, electronics or instrumentation background
- Must have: Understanding of drives, servo systems and PLCs
- Must have: Clear written and spoken communication
- Must have: Ability to explain options simply
- Good to have: Pre-sales or technical sales experience
- Good to have: Knowledge of Siemens, Fanuc, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi or Yaskawa ranges
- Good to have: Quotation and costing experience

Who you will support
Customers across Bengaluru and India sending repair and sourcing enquiries. Star Automations repairs and supplies servo drives, servo motors, encoders, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, solar inverters and industrial electronics, and builds cable harnesses and electronics sub-assemblies.
Where you will work in Bengaluru
Our Bengaluru facility is at 40, Sparkling Nest Rd, Lakshmi Sagar Layout, Brigade Metropolis, Garudachar Palya, Mahadevapura, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560048. Working hours are Monday to Saturday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm IST; evening, part-time and job-based work is discussed per role.
