Shipping a lithium pack safely

Lithium packs carry a fire risk. Never ship a swollen, leaking, hot or physically damaged pack. Disconnect the pack from the vehicle, charger and load, insulate the terminals, and WhatsApp photos before you courier. We tell you whether to ship the pack, the board or neither.

Questions we are asked

Do you repair lithium battery packs?

We repair BMS boards and the electronics around the pack, and we diagnose packs for balance and protection faults. Whether a pack can be repaired depends on its design and condition, and we confirm before you ship. Cell replacement, where possible, is quoted separately.

Will you accept a swollen or damaged battery?

No. Do not ship a swollen, leaking, burnt or physically damaged pack. Send photos on WhatsApp and we advise on the board or the next step.

Can you repair just the BMS board?

Yes. A BMS board can be sent on its own. Disconnect it from the cells safely or send the whole pack, as advised on WhatsApp.

How much does BMS repair cost?

The price depends on the board and the fault. Send photos of the board and the pack label and we quote before you ship.

Do you assemble battery packs?

Pack assembly is project work. Share the specification, quantity and use on the quote form and we reply on feasibility.

Is Star Automations an OEM service centre?

No. Star Automations is an independent multi-brand repair company, not an OEM service centre.
