Replacing lead-acid UPS batteries with lithium
Many commercial UPS and inverter systems run on lead-acid batteries that have to be replaced every few years. Lithium batteries generally last longer, weigh less, take less space and need less maintenance, but cost more upfront. Whether the upgrade pays off depends on your UPS, your load, the runtime you need and how often you replace batteries today.

Our upgrade process
- Battery health assessment of your existing lead-acid bank: capacity, age and condition.
- Lithium feasibility check on your UPS: charger and voltage compatibility, cabinet space, load and runtime needed.
- A quotation with the lithium pack and BMS from our battery pack partners, with their test and safety documents. Warranty terms are stated on each quotation.
- Supply, installation coordination and commissioning, and a test of the upgraded system.
- Advice on proper disposal of the old lead-acid batteries, and annual maintenance (AMC) with battery health checks.

Is lithium better than lead-acid for a business UPS?
Lithium batteries generally last longer, weigh less, take less space and need less maintenance than lead-acid. They cost more upfront, so whether it pays off depends on your UPS, load, runtime and how often you replace batteries today. We assess your case before quoting.
Can my existing UPS or inverter run on lithium batteries?
Often yes, but it must be checked. The UPS charger, battery voltage, cabinet space, load and the lithium pack's BMS have to suit each other. We do a lithium feasibility check on your UPS before we recommend anything.
What is a BMS and why does it matter?
A BMS (battery management system) is the electronics that protect a lithium pack: it balances the cells and cuts off on over-charge, over-discharge, over-current and over-temperature. A good BMS is essential for safe lithium operation.
Do you sell household inverter batteries?
No. Our lithium upgrade service is for businesses with commercial UPS and inverter systems such as server rooms, clinics, offices, factories and retail chains.
What do you need to give a quote?

Who supplies the lithium battery pack?
We work with battery pack partners and supply the pack with its BMS as part of the upgrade, along with their test and safety documents. Warranty terms are stated on each quotation.
What happens to the old lead-acid batteries?
We advise on proper handling and disposal of old lead-acid batteries through authorised recyclers, so your site is cleared safely.
Do you serve Bengaluru and the rest of India?
Yes. We have a facility in Bengaluru and serve businesses around Whitefield, Electronic City, Peenya, Mahadevapura, Bommasandra and Harohalli, and across India through field service and courier support.
