Fanuc SV0411 alarm: excess error (moving)
Fanuc SV0411 means the position error while moving was larger than allowed. Check the load, mechanism, acceleration and the motor feedback.

What the alarm means
During motion the axis lagged the command by more than the limit. Alarm numbers and wording can differ between series, so confirm with the manual for your unit.
Common causes
- Heavy friction or mechanical binding
- Acceleration or feed too aggressive
- Servo parameter mismatch
- Motor weakness or demagnetisation
- Pulsecoder or amplifier fault
Safe first checks
General guidance only. Follow the drive manual and your site's electrical safety rules. Power off, and let the DC bus discharge, before touching connectors.
- Note the exact alarm code and when it appears: at power-up, at start, or under load.
- Power off and turn the shaft by hand if safe: it should turn smoothly.
- Check the motor cable, encoder cable and connectors for damage and loose contacts.
- Check what changed recently: load, speed, settings, cables or a replaced part.
When to send it for repair
If only one axis does it and the mechanism is free, test the motor and pulsecoder.

Can a weak motor cause SV0411?
Yes. A motor that has lost torque cannot follow the command.
