Textile machine servo motor and drive repair

We repair the servo motors and drives on spinning, weaving, knitting and winding machines: take-up, let-off, traverse and main drive axes. Lint and heat are the usual causes, so we clean, repair, align and test every unit and return it with a printed report.

04FAQ

Questions

Why do servo drives fail on textile machines?

Lint builds up on heat sinks and fans, so the drive runs hot and power parts fail early. Encoders and connectors also collect fibre. We clean, repair and test the unit, and suggest a cleaning interval for your maintenance plan.

Can you repair drives from older textile machines?

Often yes, because repair is at component level. Where a part is obsolete, we look for an equivalent or a unit from surplus stock and tell you before work starts. If repair is not sensible, we explain the options.

Do you repair the servo motor and the drive together?

Yes. Send both if the fault is not clear. We test each one separately and together, which shows whether the motor or the drive caused the alarm.

Is a line-down service available?

Yes. Mark "line down" on the form. Servo Swap ships an exchange unit if one is in stock, and emergency repair is done the same day where the fault and parts allow.
