Do you repair Yaskawa servo motors in Chennai and Puducherry?
Yes. Star Automations repairs Yaskawa and other major-brand AC servo motors at our workshop serving Chennai, Puducherry and Bangalore. Work is multi-brand aftermarket repair with inspection, feedback check and running test. We are not an authorised Yaskawa service centre.
Which servo motor brands do you repair?
We repair servo motors and related drives across common factory brands including Fanuc, Yaskawa, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Delta, Omron, Allen-Bradley, Bosch Rexroth, ABB, B&R, Kollmorgen, Parker and similar industrial makes. If the nameplate is readable, send a photo of the nameplate and the fault for a repair-feasibility check.
How long does servo motor repair take?
On the servo motor repair line, emergency electronic repair is typically up to 3 working days and standard electronic repair is typically up to 10 working days, subject to parts and availability. Mechanical work such as bearings or rewind can add time. Confirm the date on the job card before you ship.
Do you offer emergency or 72-hour servo repair?
Emergency electronic repairs are quoted up to 3 working days when parts are in hand. A 72-hour target is possible only after we see the unit and confirm parts. We do not promise same-day repair on every brand or every fault.
Are you an authorised OEM service centre?
No. Star Automations is an independent multi-brand aftermarket repair workshop. We do not sell authorised OEM warranty coverage. Plants use us when the official depot lead time is long, the board is obsolete, or they need a tested second source.
What warranty do you give on servo motor repair?
Servo motor repairs on starautomations.com are described as carrying a 6-month whole-unit warranty on the repaired motor, with terms on the job card. Warranty applies to the work performed, not to a new OEM factory warranty. Keep the job card and serial note with the unit.
Do you test the servo after repair?
Yes. Motors are inspected electrically, feedback devices are checked, and repaired motors are run at multiple speeds. Feedback alignment uses workshop test equipment including a Mitchell rig where the job needs lockup-angle checks. Ask for the test note with the return shipment.
Can you repair a servo drive, PLC module or encoder as well as the motor?
Yes. The same workshop handles servo drives, VFD units, PLC modules, CNC boards, HMI panels, industrial PCBs and encoders on a multi-brand aftermarket basis. Send the part number, alarm code and photos. Do not assume every obsolete board is recoverable until we inspect it.
Do you repair obsolete or discontinued servo parts?
Often yes, when the hardware is still repairable and components can be sourced or recovered. Obsolete Fanuc, Yaskawa, Mitsubishi and Allen-Bradley units are a regular aftermarket request. If the board is beyond repair we say so; we do not invent a replacement as genuine OEM new.
How do I send a failed servo motor for repair?
WhatsApp or email a nameplate photo, fault or alarm text, and your plant city. After we confirm we can take the job, pack the shaft and connectors, mark the axis or machine ID, and courier to the workshop address we give you. Pan-India pickup can be arranged on confirmed jobs.
Do you serve factories outside Tamil Nadu?
Yes. The workshop belt is Chennai, Puducherry and Bangalore, with courier intake from plants across India. Packaging, auto, pharma and tyre factories commonly ship one failed axis first, then repeat on the same brand family.
What does a packaging-line or auto-plant maintenance team usually send you?
Typical jobs are a failed wrapper or filler servo, a robot or transfer-axis motor, a servo drive with DC-bus or encoder-fault alarms, and obsolete boards the OEM quoted at long lead time. Start with one unit and the test report; do not wait to batch an entire line.
