Wireless Retest of Refurbished Networking Gear in Bengaluru
A wireless retest record for refurbishers and resellersWe run a wireless retest on refurbished routers, access points and modules within the bands our tester covers, and attach a record to each unit and each lot.
Important: This is an in-house RF verification and test record service for design checks, production, validation, returned-unit analysis and post-repair testing. It is not NABL-accredited testing, and it is not WPC, BIS, FCC, CE or any other regulatory certification. Our records do not replace an accredited laboratory's report. For type approval or certification, please use an accredited or notified laboratory.
Why refurbished routers and access points need a radio check
A refurbished unit may look fine and still have a weak or out-of-limit radio. A cabled check shows it, per unit.
What we test within the bands in range
- Transmit power and signal quality
- Receive function
- 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac in 2.4 and 5 GHz, depending on installed options
Not Wi-Fi 6, 6E or 7.
Batch handling and unit labelling
Units are tested and logged one by one, then summarised per lot.
What you supply: the devices or boards, test firmware or a vendor test tool that puts the radio into transmit and receive test modes, a golden sample, RF connector or fixture access, and your test plan with limits. Without a test mode we cannot drive the radio.
What the record shows
A per-unit and per-lot test record (PDF with a CSV data file): unit ID, set conditions, measured values, your limits, pass or fail, instrument model, software version, date and operator name. We report what we measure.
What this does not replace
- Data wiping
- Safety, functional and software tests
- Certification
For electrical safety before resale, see our hipot testing service.
Frequently asked questions
Can you retest refurbished routers and access points?
Yes. We can run a wireless check on refurbished routers, access points and modules within the bands our tester covers, confirming transmit power, signal quality and receive function, and attach a record to each unit. It does not replace data wiping, safety or functional tests, which you or your refurbisher run.
What do I need to supply for testing?
Please supply the devices or boards, a way to put each into transmit and receive test modes through firmware or a vendor test tool, a golden sample, an RF connector or fixture, and your test plan with limits. Without a test mode we cannot drive the radio. We can help define the fixture and the script on request.
Are your test records certificates (NABL, WPC, BIS, FCC or CE)?
No. We provide in-house RF verification and a test record. We are not a NABL-accredited laboratory, and our records are not WPC, BIS, FCC, CE or any other regulatory certification. For type approval or certification, please use an accredited or notified laboratory. Our records support your own pre-checks and production quality control.
What do I receive after testing?
You receive a per-unit and per-lot test record, usually PDF with a CSV data file, listing unit ID, set conditions such as channel, data rate and power, measured values, your limits, and pass or fail. It also shows the instrument model, software version, test date and operator name. Logs and captures can be added on request.
