RepairMind: fault-finding help for servo drives and encoder boards

RepairMind is an AI repair assistant in pilot at Star Automations. A technician sends a photo of the board and the symptom; RepairMind returns a probable fault map and the test steps to confirm it. It gives guidance only; every fault is confirmed by measurement before any part is changed.

01How it works

How it works

  1. Photo of the drive or encoder board, plus the model and the alarm or symptom.
  2. RepairMind marks the likely fault areas on the board and lists them in order.
  3. It gives the measurement steps that confirm or rule out each area.
  4. The technician measures, repairs and runs the final test.

Pilot coverage: servo drives and encoder boards.

02Limits

Safety and limits

RepairMind gives guidance, not a diagnosis. Confirm every fault by measurement. Discharge the DC bus and follow your site's electrical safety rules before working on any drive.

03FAQ

RepairMind questions

Is RepairMind available to everyone?

Not yet. It is in a pilot with Star Automations repair partners and certified technicians. Partners who join give feedback on each suggestion, which is used to improve it. Plants that need a repair can send the unit to Star through the normal repair form.

Does RepairMind replace measurement?

No. It suggests where to look and what to measure first. Every fault must be confirmed with a meter, a scope or a test before any part is changed. Its suggestions can be wrong, so the technician's measurement always decides.

What do I need to send?

A clear photo of the board, the drive or encoder model, and the alarm code or symptom. More photos of both sides of the board improve the result. Do not send customer names or machine data that is not needed.

Which brands does it know?

The pilot starts with common servo drive and encoder families. The list grows as partners add repairs that have been checked by measurement.
