Star Automations designs and manufactures custom DC, PMDC and small brushless motors up to 1 kW for OEMs that build automatic door operators, train and metro door systems, boom barriers and gate openers. Motors are made at our Puducherry factory from 12 V to 90 V DC, or for 200 to 240 V AC drive input, with Hall sensor, encoder or resolver feedback and an optional brake. We start with a prototype, then batch and repeat orders. We also repair door and barrier motors and controllers.

Do you make custom motors for automatic door operators?
Yes. We design and manufacture custom DC, PMDC and small brushless motors up to 1 kW for door operators, with Hall sensor, encoder or resolver feedback and an optional brake, to your specification.
Can you supply motors for boom barriers and gate openers?
Yes. Send the torque, speed, duty cycle, supply voltage, mounting and the controller you use. We confirm whether we can build it, with a price, and make a prototype first.
Do you make motors for railway or metro door systems?
We manufacture motors for railway equipment and sub-systems to the drawing and specification of the order. Tell us the standards your door system requires, and we confirm what we can meet and what needs to be proved by laboratory testing.
Can you supply the motor with a gearbox?
Tell us whether you need a bare motor or a motor matched to your gearbox, with the shaft, mounting and ratio. We design the motor around it.
Do you repair door and barrier motors and controllers?
Yes. Send the make, model and fault of the door motor, boom barrier motor or controller for a first assessment. We repair motors, drives and control boards, and test before return.
What voltages can you build for?
