Wireless Connectivity RF Testing and Job Work in Bengaluru
Outsourced Wi-Fi and Bluetooth RF verification for module, device and PCBA makers, on a LitePoint IQxel-M connectivity testerStar Automations runs RF verification of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, boards and finished devices for companies that need extra test capacity, NPI samples, returned-unit checks or a retest record, from our Bengaluru office in Mahadevapura. We connect each unit to the tester by cable, run your test mode, and record the measured values against your limits. You get a per-unit and per-lot test record with the set conditions, the measured values and a pass or fail result. We also do board-level fault finding and SMD rework on wireless module boards, then retest them. Built for batches, pilot runs and repeat lots, with an NDA on request.

Important: This is an in-house RF verification and test record service for design checks, production, validation, returned-unit analysis and post-repair testing. It is not NABL-accredited testing, and it is not WPC, BIS, FCC, CE or any other regulatory certification. Our records do not replace an accredited laboratory's report. For type approval or certification, please use an accredited or notified laboratory.

What is wireless connectivity RF testing?
RF testing of a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth device measures what its radio transmits and how well it receives, for example output power, signal quality (EVM), spectral mask, frequency error and receiver sensitivity. We connect each device to the tester by cable in a shielded setup, run your test mode, and record every measured value against your limits.
This is a physical-layer, production-style test: the tester generates and analyses radio signals directly, without a full network connection (a "non-signalling" method per the manufacturer's datasheet). That makes it fast and repeatable, which is what batch and lot testing needs. It checks the radio. It does not replace your functional, software or regulatory tests.
| Term | Plain meaning |
|---|---|
| Transmit (TX) power | How strong the device's transmitted signal is, measured at the RF connector |
| EVM (error vector magnitude) | A measure of signal quality: how closely the transmitted signal matches the ideal one |
| Spectral mask | A check that the transmitted signal does not spill energy into neighbouring frequencies |
| Receiver sensitivity and PER | The weakest signal the device can still receive correctly, judged by packet error rate |
| Non-signalling test | The tester talks to the device's radio test mode directly, without a network connection, so each test is quick |
| Golden unit | A known-good sample you supply, used to set and compare limits for the lot |

How a corporate job works
NDA and onboarding
We sign your NDA, and share our company profile.
Sample or golden unit
You send a golden unit and a few samples, with the firmware or vendor tool that puts the radio into test mode.
Agree the test plan
We confirm in writing the technologies, channels, data rates, power levels, limits and connections, and tell you plainly if your product is outside our range.
Pilot batch
We test a small batch and share the records so you can check the setup and the limits.
Volume run
We test the full lots under the agreed plan. Every unit is tested and logged individually by a trained operator.
Test record per unit and per lot
You receive the records, the data files and the lot summary.
What we need from you: the devices or boards, a way to put each into transmit and receive test modes (test firmware or a vendor test tool), a golden unit, an RF connector or fixture access, and your test plan with limits. Without a test mode we cannot drive the radio. We can help define the fixture and the script.

- Unit ID or serial number, and lot ID
- Technology, channel, data rate and power level for each test
- Measured values: transmit power, signal quality (EVM), frequency error, spectral mask result, and receiver sensitivity or packet error rate where tested
- Your limit for each measurement and pass or fail
- Overall result for the unit, and a summary table for the lot
- Instrument model, software version, test date and operator name
Captures, logs and photos can be added on request. We run the test you specify. We do not interpret compliance with a standard for you.

Safety and handling
RF levels at the connectors of a cabled test are low, and units are tested in a shielded setup with the tester's input limits respected, so personal RF exposure is minimal. We use trained operators, ESD-safe handling and anti-static benches for every board and module. We do not lend the instrument to untrained users. We do not give instructions that tell the public how to operate RF test equipment.

Frequently asked questions
What is wireless connectivity RF testing?
RF testing of a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth device measures what its radio transmits and how well it receives, for example output power, signal quality (EVM), spectral mask, frequency error and receiver sensitivity. We connect each device to the tester by cable in a shielded setup, run your test mode, and record every measured value against your limits.
What is the LitePoint IQxel-M and what does it let you test?
The IQxel-M is a wireless connectivity test system built for production use. Per the manufacturer datasheet it generates and analyses radio signals for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee and other technologies, and can test several devices in parallel. Which technologies we run for you depends on the options installed on our unit, and we confirm this for each enquiry.
Which Wi-Fi and Bluetooth standards can you test?
Per the datasheet, the IQxel-M covers Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands and Bluetooth including Low Energy, depending on installed options. The datasheet does not list Wi-Fi 6, 6E or 7, or the 6 GHz band, so we do not offer them. We confirm standards and channels before agreeing a test plan.
Do you take bulk orders and production overflow work?
Yes, for corporate customers. You send a golden sample and your test plan, we agree a pilot batch, then we run volume lots with a test record for every unit. We work to your limits and your test firmware. Lot sizes, schedule and conditions are agreed in writing for each lot, and we sign an NDA on request.
Can you run my device's radio tuning step as an outsourced job?
Where your chipset's test software and test mode are available to us, we can run your radio tuning and verification sequence as an outsourced production step. You supply the firmware or vendor test tool, the golden sample and the limits. Chipset support depends on the software installed on our unit and is confirmed before any run.
What do I need to supply for testing?
Please supply the devices or boards, a way to put each into transmit and receive test modes through firmware or a vendor test tool, a golden sample, an RF connector or fixture, and your test plan with limits. Without a test mode we cannot drive the radio. We can help define the fixture and the script on request.
Can you test and rework Wi-Fi or Bluetooth module boards?
Yes. For wireless module boards and PCBAs we can do RF verification, board-level fault finding and SMD rework, then retest and record the result. Rework scope depends on the board and is confirmed after we inspect a sample. We repair and retest boards, we do not redesign RF circuits.
Can you analyse returned wireless devices (RMA)?
Yes. For returned devices we compare each unit with a known-good sample, record its transmit and receive measurements, and separate units whose radio is out of limits from those that are within limits. You receive a per-unit record. We report what we measure, and root cause may still need your design or firmware team.
Can you retest refurbished routers and access points?
Yes. We can run a wireless check on refurbished routers, access points and modules within the bands our tester covers, confirming transmit power, signal quality and receive function, and attach a record to each unit. It does not replace data wiping, safety or functional tests, which you or your refurbisher run.
Are your test records certificates (NABL, WPC, BIS, FCC or CE)?
No. We provide in-house RF verification and a test record. We are not a NABL-accredited laboratory, and our records are not WPC, BIS, FCC, CE or any other regulatory certification. For type approval or certification, please use an accredited or notified laboratory. Our records support your own pre-checks and production quality control.
What do I receive after testing?
You receive a per-unit and per-lot test record, usually PDF with a CSV data file, listing unit ID, set conditions such as channel, data rate and power, measured values, your limits, and pass or fail. It also shows the instrument model, software version, test date and operator name. Logs and captures can be added on request.
How do I request a pilot batch?
Send the device type, technologies, quantity per lot and per month, your test limits and whether you need an NDA, through the enquiry form at www.starautomations.com or on WhatsApp at +91 97866 22233. We agree a written test plan first, then test a pilot batch before any volume run.
