RMA and Failure Analysis for Wireless Devices in Bengaluru
Returned-unit radio checks for support, quality and RMA teamsWe measure the radios of returned Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices on a LitePoint IQxel-M and compare each unit with a known-good sample. We report what we measure.
Important: This is an in-house RF verification and test record service for design checks, production, validation, returned-unit analysis and post-repair testing. It is not NABL-accredited testing, and it is not WPC, BIS, FCC, CE or any other regulatory certification. Our records do not replace an accredited laboratory's report. For type approval or certification, please use an accredited or notified laboratory.
What a returned-unit radio check shows
It shows whether a unit's transmit and receive measurements are within the limits you give us, per channel and data rate, and records the values for each returned unit.
Comparing against a known-good sample
You send a known-good sample. We measure it first, then each returned unit, and report the difference.
What you supply: the devices or boards, test firmware or a vendor test tool that puts the radio into transmit and receive test modes, a golden sample, RF connector or fixture access, and your test plan with limits. Without a test mode we cannot drive the radio.
Separating radio faults from firmware or antenna issues
Where the evidence allows, the measurements help separate units whose radio is out of limits from units that are within limits. Root cause may still need your design or firmware team.
Board-level fault finding and rework
On request we can do component-level fault finding and SMD rework on a failed board, then retest it and record the result.
What we do not do
- Promise a root cause
- Make design changes
- Provide certification
A per-unit and per-lot test record (PDF with a CSV data file): unit ID, set conditions, measured values, your limits, pass or fail, instrument model, software version, date and operator name. We report what we measure.
Frequently asked questions
Can you analyse returned wireless devices (RMA)?
Yes. For returned devices we compare each unit with a known-good sample, record its transmit and receive measurements, and separate units whose radio is out of limits from those that are within limits. You receive a per-unit record. We report what we measure, and root cause may still need your design or firmware team.
What do I need to supply for testing?
Please supply the devices or boards, a way to put each into transmit and receive test modes through firmware or a vendor test tool, a golden sample, an RF connector or fixture, and your test plan with limits. Without a test mode we cannot drive the radio. We can help define the fixture and the script on request.
Are your test records certificates (NABL, WPC, BIS, FCC or CE)?
No. We provide in-house RF verification and a test record. We are not a NABL-accredited laboratory, and our records are not WPC, BIS, FCC, CE or any other regulatory certification. For type approval or certification, please use an accredited or notified laboratory. Our records support your own pre-checks and production quality control.
What do I receive after testing?
You receive a per-unit and per-lot test record, usually PDF with a CSV data file, listing unit ID, set conditions such as channel, data rate and power, measured values, your limits, and pass or fail. It also shows the instrument model, software version, test date and operator name. Logs and captures can be added on request.
