BMS Protection-Board Bench Testing in Bengaluru (Low Voltage)
Star Automations runs bench threshold and current checks on low-voltage battery protection boards in Bengaluru, inside 15 V, and records the results for each unit. We do not work on high-voltage EV battery packs.
Important: This is an in-house electrical test and test record service for design checks, production, validation and post-repair testing. It is not NABL-accredited testing, and it is not BIS, CE, AIS-140 or RF certification. Our records do not replace a certified laboratory's report. For accredited certification, please use a NABL- or BIS-recognised laboratory.
What a bench test of a protection board covers
A protection board limits the current and voltage of a cell or small pack. A bench test shows where it acts, for example at which voltage and current the board cuts off, and how it behaves around those points.
Threshold and current checks inside 15 V
We use the battery simulator channel to set voltage points and read the current. Feasibility is confirmed for each board, based on its cell count and how the voltages can be accessed.

Supervised test area and safety
Battery testing is hazardous. Trained staff test in a supervised area with an emergency cut-off. We do not work on high-voltage EV battery packs. Those need a specialist or accredited laboratory.
How it works
Send the details
Product type, quantity, battery voltage, expected current in each state, and your limits. Ship samples to us or book an on-site visit in Bengaluru.
Agree the test plan
We confirm in writing the supply voltage and output resistance, the device states, the duration, the limits and the connections, and tell you if your product is outside our range.
Test
Trained staff run each unit in a supervised area and log it individually.
Receive the record
You get set conditions, measured values, a graph or log where available, and a pass or fail result for each unit.
What you receive
A test record (PDF) that lists, for each unit: the unit ID, the supply conditions, the measured values, the graph or data file where available, a pass or fail result against your limits, and the instrument model used, test date and operator name. Logged data and photos can be added on request. We run the test you specify. We do not interpret compliance with a standard for you.
Frequently asked questions
Do you test BMS protection boards and battery packs?
Within our range, we can run bench threshold and current checks on low-voltage protection boards, with feasibility confirmed for each board and a supervised test area. We do not work on high-voltage EV battery packs, and we do not do cycle-life, thermal or abuse testing. Those need a specialist or accredited laboratory.
What voltage can the protection board be?
Our instruments source up to 15 V, so the board must work inside that range. Send the cell count and the rated voltage and current so we can confirm feasibility. If a board is outside our range, we tell you before any work starts.
Do you test high-voltage EV battery packs?
No. We do not work on high-voltage EV battery packs. Our service covers low-voltage devices inside 15 V. EV pack testing, thermal and cycle-life testing need a specialist or accredited laboratory.
