This policy explains how Star Automations (“Star”, “we”) collects and uses personal data when you browse this shop, request a quotation, place an order or contact us. We handle personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law.

Information we collect

  • Contact details you give us: name, company, email address, phone number and WhatsApp number.
  • Billing and delivery details: address, GSTIN and PAN where required for a tax invoice.
  • Enquiry details: part numbers, nameplate photos, fault descriptions and files you upload.
  • Order and payment records. Card, UPI and bank details are processed by the payment provider and are not stored by Star.
  • Technical data such as device, browser and pages visited, collected through cookies and analytics.

How we use it

  • To reply to enquiries, prepare quotations, process and deliver orders and issue GST invoices.
  • To provide repair, testing, warranty and after-sales support.
  • To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations.
  • To keep the shop secure and to understand how it is used so we can improve it.
  • To send marketing email or WhatsApp messages only if you have agreed. You can opt out at any time.

Who we share it with

We share data only as needed with couriers and logistics partners, payment providers, our email and hosting providers, and analytics services such as Google Analytics. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data if required by law.

Cookies

The shop uses cookies for the cart, login and analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the shop may then not work properly.

Retention and security

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above and as required by Indian tax and accounting laws. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your rights

You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or raise a grievance by writing to star@starautomations.com. We will respond within a reasonable time as required by law.
